Alongside the English version, you can now get your hands on this delightfully illustrated book in IsiXhosa, IsiZulu, Xitsonga, Afrikaans, Sesotho, Sepedi, Tshivenda and Setswana!

Mpumi’s Magic Beads, written by Lebohang Masango and illustrated by Masego Morulane, is an enchanting story about friendship, self-esteem, discovery and beautiful hair in the big city of Joburg. It follows the sudden adventures of Mpumi, Asante and Tshiamo as they see the world around them from new heights and realise all of the fun waiting to be discovered outside of their classroom. This story is a great read for the whole family, especially children aged between 5 – 10 years old.

Siswati and IsiNdebele versions will be available for purchase later this year.

As a celebration of books and the publishing industry, writers and illustrators will descend on Newtown, Johannesburg from 7-9 September.

Celebrated annually in the first week of September, the South African Book Fair is the culmination of National Book Week and offers a unique opportunity for interaction between publishers, authors and book lovers alike.
